Key conference messages
Key take home messages from the conference were that treating vein disease is important for cosmetic, lifestyle and optimal functional outcomes and that complications from not treating abnormal veins can result in very significant disease and poor quality of life.
New treatments focus on providing safe comfortable treatment with lasting results at a manageable cost.
Venous disease often runs in families and can progress throughout one’s lifetime. This means repeat treatments is part of managing this condition.
