Skin Texture & Scarring
Scarring due to acne or other causes and changes in skin texture can greatly impact on how someone feels about their skin. There are many treatments available to improve scarring and texture in both the face and the body. It can be as simple as adding or changing your home care routine, to having a series of treatments to achieve results.
As we age, pore size can become increasingly large and in need of reduction. Sanctum uses advanced laser technology to reduce the size of pores. Laser Genesis is a safe, comfortable and rewarding treatment, with pore sizes visibly reduced after each treatment.
Laser genesis works by stimulating collagen growth in the upper dermis of the skin.
We recommend a series of frequent treatments for optimum results, and have developed a number of packages incorporating various treatments to reach your personal skin goal! Speak to us today to find out more.
Acne Treatment and Scarring
Acne and acne scarring is a common issue that affects many of our patients. Our doctors can create an individualised plan for managing active acne, whether it be in your teenage years or adult acne. This is not something you have to struggle with on your own. We also have a number of treatment options available to effectively minimise acne scarring – both pitted and red/purple discolouration.
PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma has been around for many years and has proven time and time again how effective it is as a treatment to improve a variety of issues. PRP can help regenerate and revitalise damaged skin, reduce fine lines and help improve skin texture. It also can be used to treat keloid scarring (large, raised, purple scars) and acne scarring. It can be done to improve the texture of the whole face and chest – you may know it better as ‘The Vampire Facelift’ made famous by Kim Kardashian.
The process: a small blood sample is taken from the patient on arrival and spun down to reveal the plasma component. This contains all the ‘goodies’ that replenish and rejuvenate the skin. It is then injected or infused into the skin depending on area treated. The patient is quite red after the procedure, but our patients normally go back to work after 1-2 days. Best results are seen after 7-10 days with a course of 3 recommended for optimal results.
PRP is suitable for:
// Tired, dry skin, laxity of skin and uneven pigmentation on any area
// Wrinkles and dark circles
// Improving texture & tone
// People who may be sensitive or at risk of allergies to other treatments/products
// People looking for a natural treatment
Skin Tags, Moles and Warts
With our state of the art laser technology, we are able to treat a variety of lesions, including benign skin tags, moles & warts. This is a non-invasive treatment with limited down time. The treatment is relatively comfortable, however tropical and local anaesthetics are offered for larger lesions to make the treatment more comfortable.
Scarring and Stretch Marks
Sanctum has developed an effective program for the treatment of scars with a variety of treatments options including the Vbeam Laser, Healite LED Light Therapy and Skin Needling. We have successfully reduced the visibility of scarring, by diminishing discolouration and stimulating skin cell turnover, regenerating collagen growth.
Dull Skin and Complexion
Having dull skin or a sallow complexion is a common complaint. This can often be easily improved with changes in skincare and medi facials, however sometimes it is due to underlying pigmentation and redness. An assessment by one of our team is recommended to develop a personalised skin plan, and to ensure no underlying factors are missed that may be contributing to a dull complexion.
